Ways to Have a Vintage Affair with Dining Room Chairs

You can give your home a vintage charm in so many ways: through the table, the decorations in the form of old vases, photo frames or even the pictures you decide to frame in them. And the beauty of the vintage style is that it can work as an entire design scheme or as a complement to an existing pattern. Meaning, you don’t have to have an entire home decorated with old stuff; you can easily arrange your rooms with modern pieces and still have the vintage look by adding a sofa, a chair or a decoration. Trust me, the look will be there.

Dining room chairs

Below I’ve given you a few ways you can add a vintage charm to your home with the simple help of dining room chairs – the type made of timber. Whether it’s solid or oak timber, this material has a very specific colour and as such works perfectly as a vintage décor element.

Obviously, dressing your dining room

No matter the style of your dining area, dining room chairs made of timber will find their way into it. It’s because timber has a very neutral colour which instantly blends with any design scheme and even breaks the monotony, if you’re into Scandinavian style for example. A set of these chairs would add just the right amount of vintage feel to a modern dining room with a number of metal elements and strong colours for example.

Why not use them as an addition to your living room?

You can get one or two dining room chairs and put them in your living room. Why leave those boring, pointless corners of your room empty, when you can put a chair there and give the room a whole other direction? Plus, a chair is always useful, especially when you have extra guests coming over and no extra place on the sofas.

Finally, for your vintage style infused home office

Ok, maybe it’s not a vintage looking office, maybe it’s more like a modern part of the room filled with technology. However, a dining room chair made of timber would give that soulless, metal invaded corner a little warmth and cosiness, so you feel like you’re still at home (if you want to feel that way, at least). Plus, it would perfectly blend in with the rest of the room ambiance.

Bottom line, having these chairs in your home would really allow you to have the best of both worlds: a vintage touch in the form of timber dining chairs, complementing your otherwise completely different room styles.
