I don’t know about other people, but for me personally, the toughest part of getting fit and reaching my fitness goals was my diet. I mean, I know what I need to eat, when to eat, and how much to eat, but all of that goes out the window if you can’t cook, and you don’t have the time and patience to learn. I’m one of those people who don’t even try to learn something if they know they’re not going to put the effort into it. Luckily, I found my saving grace in fresh prepared meal delivery services to help me keep up with my daily nutrition goals.
In case you don’t know what fresh prepared meal delivery services do – they basically prepare a whole week’s worth of meals for you and deliver them right at your doorstep. The only thing you have to do is heat up the food in a microwave, and you have yourself a delicious, nutritious meal. While this may seem counterintuitive, just think about it – it’s better than ordering junk food with no nutritious value whatsoever, and it’s cheaper than eating at a restaurant.
In fact, it’s probably easier and cheaper than cooking meals yourself, unless you enjoy cooking, of course. The reason I say it’s cheaper is because you don’t have to do any grocery shopping, which if we’re realistic, never goes as frugally as we want it to. A lot of people, myself included, buy a ton of unnecessary things when we’re at a supermarket. And when accounting for the whole price of the food you cook yourself, you don’t take into account the cost of going to the market, the electricity you use to cook, and the water you use to wash everything afterward.
While all of the aforementioned things may seem insignificant, if you take into account that you’ll have to repeat the meal prep process every day, a few times a day, it all adds up. Additionally, when cooking your own food, you rarely ever hit your nutrition goals, as you rarely ever eat the same portion size, and sometimes, you’re hungrier and end up overeating. This is another benefit of ready meal delivery services – every portion is roughly the same, and you’ll have consistently sized portions every time.
And lastly, ready meal delivery services offer a large variety of different meals, so eating healthy doesn’t become boring. Another problem with homecooked meals, at least if you’re doing meal prep for an entire week, is the lack of diversity, which can be a problem and make you want to have cheat meals more often than you should.
