The hall way table is that sort of table that saves you when you do not have enough space to place an actual stand but you still need it to put for different kinds of things like books, picture frames or your keys. Create a symmetrical display

Everyone has a mirror in their hallway right? So, why not create a nice symmetrical display with the help of a small hall way table that will act as a standing point for your all your keys? Just place the table beneath the mirror and decorate it with flowers on both sides. I would not suggest fresh flowers for this purpose because they have a very short life span and you will need to take care of them regularly (if you are way too busy you might not even see when they die and start spreading their awful smell). Fake flowers will do perfectly here. Or, if flowers are not your thing, go with photo frames; who does not love the sight of family photos at the doorway?

An asymmetrical look

The key to creating the perfect asymmetrical look is to choose the right objects to put on the table; make sure they are all in the same colour palette (not the same colour of course), and that they do not vary too much in height (you also don’t want to have them all in the same height). Be creative here; create some harmony with the objects by choosing them carefully: are you aiming for a casual book stand? Maybe a magazine stand with some fancy looking picture frame and a bowl of fake fruits? Or just a stand for your lovely vase with a flower bouquet in it?

A stand with a purpose

Are you a collector? If you have a nice collection of bowls, vases, sculptures or anything for that matter, and you want it exhibited somewhere clearly visible, why not place them on a hall way table? It is the perfect way to show people coming to your home, that you actually have a passion and a topic on which you can be more than extensive. Plus, having a special table for your collection shows devotion and care; it means you are not placing your valuables just anywhere.

Make it functional

Did I mention that a hall way table can be the perfect stand beneath a mirror? And if it features a large drawer – more than perfect! You can use this to place your makeup kit in it and fix your makeup just before you leave the house. Nothing better, right?
