There’s no denying that electronic cigarettes have become insanely popular over the last couple years, and it’s no wonder why, they are reusable and they cut the cost of smoking in half. Even though reusable, most people don’t think it’s important to keep up the hygiene of their electronic cigarette. There are however some telltale signs meaning you might need to clean your vaping device. For example, when the taste becomes oddly sweet, or a big pungent then it’s time to clean your ecig atomizer. You can always replace it easily, but why waste money replacing something you can just clean. Below we’ll go over a few different tried and tested methods on how to clean your ecig atomizer.

Water is one of nature’s purest ways to clean as most dirt gets dissolved in water. Just like in ancient times where detergents and soaps were hard to come by so most people washed things with water, clothes, linens and everything else was rinsed in plain water. Just keep in mind the most effective way of cleaning something in the water is to have water at a hot or warm temperature to accelerate the dissolving of dirt and bacteria.
Sometimes water can’t get everything out, you can try a couple times but if there still seems to be some lingering flavour try this next method. One of the oldest cleaning techniques comes straight out of ancient China and it still works brilliantly today and that is with a little something called vinegar. Vinegar is one of the easiest ways to get something clean without using any harsh chemicals. Drop some vinegar into some water and heat it up, let your ecig atomizer sit in the warm mix of water and vinegar for about 10 minutes then leave to air dry. Your ecig atomizer should be completely clear of any bad tastes or smells.
The next cleaning solution that you can use to clean your electronic cigarette may surprise you and that is cola. You might prefer it as a drink but as a cleaning solution it really does work. Cola has been used for almost everything from cooking, drinking, even polishing silver. Now I’m gonna tell you how to give you ecig atomizer a deep clean using cola, you might be a little skeptical but once you try it, the results will speak for themselves. You want to completely submerge your electronic cigarette in a glass or bowl of cola and then let it sit for 24 hours. After 24 hours just rinse it out with some warm water and your ecig atomizer should look like a brand new one.

Vodka is the next cleaning solution you could use to get rid of any nasty odors and tastes that might be lingering in your ecig atomizer. Though it is a popular alcoholic drink it still is alcohol, and alcohol has some great cleaning properties as we all know. For any stubborn leftover odors that just won’t seem to go away, take a few drops of vodka and put it in your atomizer, then cover the mouthpiece and shake vigorously. You can repeat this process a couple of times to make sure all of the smell or any residue isn’t left behind.
Remember that the law of physics applies here as well, after using any of these rinsing methods to clean your ecig atomizer, the next step is leaning your atomizer on a paper towel or tissue paper and so that any residue can leak out. You may have noticed that these are all chemical-free methods, and I do not advise using anything with harsh chemicals that can leave a residue that you might end up mixing with liquid by accident.
